Manufacturer Documentation
A PNG can be structurally valid and still be unsuitable for a specific machine, material, or product. Production requirements must therefore be checked against the current documentation for the actual equipment and consumables in use.
For each production job, retain the applicable official documentation for:
- The equipment manufacturer and exact machine model
- The RIP, print driver, digitizing, cutting, slicing, or control software and version
- The ink, toner, transfer, coating, blank, fabric, sheet stock, or other material manufacturer
- The product template, printable area, restricted zones, and current revision
- Required color profile, preset, resolution, mirroring, underbase, bleed, and finishing instructions
- Operating limits, maintenance requirements, ventilation, personal protective equipment, and other safety instructions
Manufacturer documentation is model-specific and can change. A generic setting from this guide must never override the current manual, technical data sheet, safety data sheet, or approved production procedure.
