Conflicting Information
Conflicts often occur because one source describes the PNG format, another describes a software default, and another describes a particular production system. Identify which question each source is actually answering before choosing between them.
Define the claim
Write the disputed statement precisely, including product, method, machine, material, software, size, and version where relevant.
Classify the claim
Decide whether it concerns the PNG specification, application behavior, manufacturer requirements, production convention, safety, or a product-specific result.
Rank the evidence
Prefer the governing standard for format claims and the exact current manufacturer documentation for equipment or material claims.
Check scope and date
Confirm that each source applies to the same model, version, material, product, and operating conditions.
Test unresolved production claims

Record the decision
