Templates
Use a product-specific template whenever placement, trim, bleed, seams, curves, handles, hardware, or printable boundaries affect the design. A generic PNG canvas cannot represent every physical product accurately.
Before using a template:
- Confirm it matches the exact product model and size
- Verify the units and whether dimensions include bleed
- Keep guides and product outlines out of the final PNG unless instructed otherwise
- Do not stretch or crop the template to fit different products
- Replace outdated templates when the product or production setup changes
Useful template types
