Calibration Files
There is no universal PNG calibration file that can calibrate every production system. Calibration targets must match the device, software, color workflow, method, material, and measurement procedure being evaluated.
Possible calibration resources include:
- Manufacturer-supplied nozzle, alignment, focus, or registration tests
- RIP or profile-provider color targets
- Grayscale ramps and tonal-step targets for raster engraving
- Placement and registration targets for fixtures and product templates
- Known-dimension targets for checking unintended scaling
- Material-specific transfer or curing test charts
Use the official target and procedure for the equipment whenever one exists. A downloaded image without a defined measurement method is a test image, not a complete calibration system.
