Recommended Workflow
Use a controlled workflow that begins with the editable source, produces a purpose-built PNG, validates the exported file, and preserves a clear approval history. Avoid treating a PNG copied from an unknown source as automatically production-ready.
Recommended creator-to-maker workflow
Define
Confirm the product, production method, material, final size, placement, and maker requirements.
Create
Build the artwork in an editable source document at sufficient quality.
Export
Generate a PNG with the required dimensions, color handling, and transparency.
Validate
Reopen the PNG and inspect its technical properties and visible result.
Approve
Compare the file with the listing, personalization, and production proof.
Produce
Use the approved revision with validated machine and material settings.
Record
Retain the approved file, outcome, and repeatable production information.
Keep these artifacts distinct:
- Editable source file
- Approved production PNG
- Buyer-facing mockup or preview
- Product template and placement reference
- Companion cut path or machine file
- Production preset and quality record
