Compatibility Questions
Compatibility questions should identify whether PNG is the production file, a companion file, or only a visual reference.
Which Gudiee methods directly accept PNG?
Gudiee currently associates PNG directly with sublimation, DTF, DTG, and laser engraving. Each still has method-specific dimensions, software, machine, material, and preparation requirements.
Can PNG be used for vinyl cutting or HTV?
PNG can serve as a tracing reference or printed artwork for certain printable-media workflows. Standard cut vinyl and cut HTV generally require vector cutting geometry.
Can PNG be used for embroidery?
It can serve as visual artwork for digitizing, but it does not contain stitches, sequence, density, underlay, or machine instructions. A compatible embroidery file is required for production.
Can PNG be used for laser cutting or CNC routing?
It can be a reference or tracing source, but cutting and routing normally require vector geometry, dimensions, and tool or machine instructions that PNG does not contain.
Can PNG be used for 3D printing?
PNG may be used as a reference, texture, mask, or height-map source in limited design workflows. It is not a printable 3D model; FDM and resin production require suitable three-dimensional geometry and sliced instructions.
Which materials work with PNG?
PNG has no inherent material compatibility. The selected production method, ink or transfer system, machine, coating, material composition, preparation, and product determine compatibility.
