  1. i.Required Machine Categories

PNG does not require one machine category by itself. The required machine is determined by the selected production method and product.

Raster engravingCompatible laser engraver with ventilation and material-safe setup
Printed stickers or labelsCompatible printer and, when contour cut, cutting equipment
  2. ii.Optional Equipment

Optional equipment can improve proofing, placement, consistency, and finishing but must fit the chosen production process.

    • Calibrated display and color-measurement equipment
    • Product-specific jigs, templates, alignment lasers, rulers, or placement guides
    • Test presses, sample blanks, and proofing tools
    • Cutters or trimmers for printed media
    • Photography equipment for documenting proofs and finished goods
    • Barcode, labeling, and job-tracking equipment
  3. iii.Supporting Equipment

Supporting equipment prepares materials, maintains safe conditions, verifies output, and completes the product. Requirements vary widely by workflow.

    Examples include:

    • Computer capable of running the production software
    • Ventilation, filtration, fire-safety, and personal protective equipment
    • Cleaning, maintenance, and calibration tools
    • Pretreatment, curing, cooling, pressing, or finishing equipment
    • Measurement tools for dimensions, temperature, pressure, and placement
    • Inspection lighting and packaging equipment
