Gudiee coordinates independent workshops through shared production details: what the design is, which supported method can make it, which products and materials are compatible, and which approved makers have the required equipment and availability. This reference documents the production files and workflows Gudiee currently accepts.
Master variables on Gudiee
Creator listings and maker profiles use a shared set of production details. The current workflow records:
- Design type: print, vector, embroidery, or 3D.
- Production file: one accepted file matched to its compatible production methods.
- Production method: one or more supported processes selected for the listing.
- Product application and item type: the finished goodie the file can produce.
- Compatible and required materials: listing-level production guidance.
- Maker equipment: active machines mapped to supported production methods.
- Maker availability and capacity: schedule, job limits, and estimated production time.
- Finished listing: approved product information buyers can discover and order.
Four design asset categories
Production uploads are grouped into four accepted file families. The exact methods available in the listing editor are narrowed by the uploaded extension.
- Print files: PNG and PDF for sublimation, DTF, and DTG workflows.
- Vector files: SVG, AI, EPS, and DXF for HTV, vinyl cutting, laser cutting, laser engraving, and CNC routing where supported by the selected method.
- Embroidery files: DST, PES, EXP, JEF, and VP3 machine-ready stitch instructions.
- 3D files: STL and 3MF for FDM printing, STL for resin printing, and STEP or DXF for CNC routing.
Joining Gudiee
Phase 1: Account creation
Required: first name, email, and password. Username, profile details, and profile imagery can be added later. After signup or email confirmation, Gudiee sends the member to role onboarding.
Phase 2: Add roles when ready
Every account includes the buyer role. During onboarding, members can also add the creator role or continue as a buyer. Maker and supplier access are added only after their separate applications are approved. Roles remain available to manage later in Settings.
- Buy goodies: discover and purchase approved creator products in the marketplace (included with every account).
- Create goodies: build production-backed listings with an accepted production file, compatible methods, and finished-product details.
- Make products: fulfill routed orders on approved equipment (requires maker application).
- Supply materials: list approved blanks and production inputs for makers (requires supplier application and verification).
Maker application (separate from signup)
Being a maker requires approval. Signup creates the account; the maker application records capabilities, equipment, materials, capacity, and service details. The current flow is user account → maker application → review → approved maker. Only approved makers can accept production gigs.
Maker capability categories
- Print and transfer: sublimation, DTF, and DTG.
- Apparel and textile decoration: embroidery, HTV/apparel press, and vinyl cutting.
- Digital fabrication: FDM printing, resin printing, CNC routing, laser cutting, and laser engraving.
Machines and materials (application examples)
Makers declare equipment and supported materials during application. The current equipment catalog includes named FDM and resin printers, sublimation and garment printers, embroidery machines, lasers, CNC routers, vinyl cutters, and heat presses, with a custom option when a model is not listed.
1. Print files: PNG and PDF
Gudiee currently accepts PNG and PDF production files for sublimation, DTF, and DTG. The listing editor only shows methods compatible with the uploaded extension and selected product.
Sublimation
- Process: transfers dye into polyester surfaces with heat and pressure.
- Machines: sublimation printer, heat press.
- Consumables: sublimation ink, sublimation paper.
- Substrates: polyester fabric, polymer-coated hard surfaces.
- Products: shirts, tumblers, mugs, mousepads, coasters, keychains, puzzles, phone cases, tote bags, ornaments.
- Post processing: pressing, cooling, packaging.
DTF (direct-to-film)
- Machines: DTF printer, powder shaker, heat press.
- Consumables: CMYK inks, white ink, adhesive powder, PET transfer film.
- Materials: cotton, polyester, blends.
- Products: shirts, hoodies, tote bags, hats (often with secondary press).
DTG (direct-to-garment)
- Machines: DTG printer.
- Consumables: textile inks, pretreatment solution.
- Products: cotton apparel.
2. Vector files: SVG, AI, EPS, and DXF
Vector production support is method-specific: HTV accepts SVG, AI, and EPS; vinyl cutting accepts SVG, AI, EPS, and DXF; laser cutting accepts SVG, DXF, and AI; laser engraving accepts SVG or PNG; CNC routing accepts DXF or STEP.
HTV / apparel press
- Accepted files: SVG, AI, EPS.
- Machines: vinyl cutter and heat press.
- Materials: heat-transfer vinyl and compatible apparel or substrates.
- Post processing: weeding, placement, pressing, cooling, quality inspection.
Vinyl cutting
- Accepted files: SVG, AI, EPS, DXF.
- Machines: vinyl cutters and plotters such as Cricut, Silhouette, Graphtec, and Roland.
- Materials: adhesive vinyl, HTV (heat transfer vinyl).
- Products: decals, stickers, vehicle graphics, apparel graphics, wall graphics.
- Post processing: weeding, transfer tape, heat pressing.
Laser cutting
- Accepted files for cutting: SVG, DXF, AI. Laser engraving accepts SVG or PNG.
- Machines: compatible laser cutters and engravers.
- Materials: wood, acrylic, leather, cardboard, MDF, paper.
- Products: signs, ornaments, earrings, wall art, puzzles, business cards.
- Post processing: sanding, staining, painting, assembly.
CNC routing
- Accepted files: DXF and STEP.
- Materials: wood, HDPE, aluminum, brass, acrylic.
- Products: furniture, signs, trays, jigs, fixtures.
- Post processing: sanding, staining, painting.
3. Embroidery
Embroidery uploads must already contain machine-ready stitch instructions. Gudiee currently accepts DST, PES, EXP, JEF, and VP3.
- Machines: single-needle and multi-needle embroidery.
- Consumables: polyester, rayon, cotton, and metallic thread; bobbin thread; tear-away, cut-away, and wash-away stabilizers.
- Base products: hats, shirts, hoodies, jackets, bags, towels, patches.
- Post processing: trimming, heat sealing, patch backing.
4. 3D printing (FDM)
Gudiee currently accepts STL and 3MF production files for filament-based FDM printing.
- Commodity filaments: PLA, PLA+, PETG.
- Engineering: ABS, ASA, nylon, polycarbonate, TPU.
- Specialty: carbon fiber filled, wood filled, glow, silk, metal filled.
- Products: organizers, hooks, tools, fixtures, toys, lamps, planters, replacement parts, phone stands.
- Post processing: support removal, sanding, priming, painting, vapor smoothing, assembly.
5. 3D printing (resin)
- Accepted files: STL.
- Machines: SLA, MSLA, DLP.
- Resins: standard, tough, flexible, dental, engineering, castable.
- Products: miniatures, jewelry masters, dental models, figurines, prototypes.
- Post processing: alcohol wash, UV curing, sanding, painting.
How this connects to the marketplace
Creators build production-backed Goodie listings with a finished-product image, one accepted production file, compatible product applications, and supported methods. Listings are reviewed before they become visible in the marketplace. The data model also includes Design listings, but standalone public Design-file sales are not currently enabled.
Buyers can browse and filter approved goodies by product and discovery details. A ZIP search resolves to a state for same-day availability filtering; it does not guarantee same-day delivery or ZIP-level maker routing. When an order creates a production gig, eligible approved makers are matched by production method, active equipment, availability, capacity, schedule, and performance signals. Geographic distance is not currently part of the routing score.
Verified suppliers can publish approved blanks and production materials with pricing, minimum order quantity, available quantity, and lead time. Anyone can shop these supplies through the materials marketplace, but supplier SKUs are not currently selected automatically during production-gig routing.
